The "Marathon News" was the brain-child of Rona Barrett.  She was my secretary.  Her salary was $50 a week.  She ran the entire fan club. The Marathon News was so popular, that the president's of other singer's fan clubs sent us articles about their singers, to be placed in the Marathon News.  We were happy to do it.
